Patricia G. Williams was a devoted collector of Black art, guided not by trends or markets, but by instinct, emotion, and personal connection. Each piece she acquired reflected her eye, her values, and her unwavering commitment to celebrating Black beauty in all its richness and range. For years, her collection lived proudly on the walls and in the rooms of her home, thoughtfully displayed and lovingly shared.
When illness required Patricia to sell her home, the future of the collection was uncertain. Her daughters, Nicole Harper Rawlins and Kerri Harper-Howie, held onto the art—carefully preserved but tucked away in storage—as they considered how best to honor both the work and the woman who cherished it.
The Gallery was born from that question.
Today, whether you host your event surrounded by the curated collection or choose to transform the space into your own blank canvas, you become part of a continuing legacy—one rooted in intention, resilience, and an enduring mission to celebrate and uplift Black artistry in all its forms.
